HOCKEY

Hockey is a major game in India. It is a game of stick and ball. Hockey was first introduced in Olympics in 1908 and the woman's hockey was introduced in 1980 .India took part for the first time in Olympics in 1928 at Amsterdam and won the Olympic title from 1928 to 1956 in a row major.The field is rectangular , 100 yards long and 50 yards wide , with a goal at each end

BASKETBALL

Basketball game was invented by Dr. James it was originated in 1891. It is played in every country of the world. This is a fast game and requires many skills e.g. dribbling , speed , accurate passing , back up , jumping , shooting to the target. It also need quick actions , intelligence to cope up with new situations in the game. The official shall be a referee who is assisted by the table officials i.e. a scorer, a time keeper and a 30 second operator. The game was first played in Y.M.C.A College of physical education ,Springfield ( USA ). The game of basketball was first included in the Olympics in 1936 in Berlin.

Football is originated from china , tournament was started in 1888. Football is a very famous game all over the game. It is played all over the world. It is ranked no 2 in sports . In outside India the people are very crazy for this game. There are total 16 players ,the game is played by 11 players and 5 are substitutes . this game is played with great enthusiasm by both the sexes and a number of National Tournaments are organized throughout the country.
